AlgoStable has evolved into a "Stablecoin 2.0" protocol that distinctly separates stability, yield, and governance. Its ecosystem is built around three tokens. USST is a USD-pegged stablecoin, fully liquid, and backed by tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs). YLD is an NFT representing the right to claim the yield generated from the collateral supporting USST. $STBL serves as the governance and value-accrual token, allowing holders to participate in protocol decisions, ensuring community-driven evolution.

The AlgoStable protocol operates by allowing users to mint USST, its USD-pegged stablecoin, through the deposit of eligible tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs) as collateral. Crucially, this minting process simultaneously generates a YLD token. The YLD token is designed to accrue the yield produced by the underlying collateral. This innovative mechanism effectively disassociates the liquid stablecoin (USST) from the generation and distribution of yield (YLD), offering users both stable liquidity and distinct yield-bearing assets.

The AlgoStable protocol currently supports a select range of tokenized money market Real-World Assets (RWAs) as collateral for minting USST. These include USDY, which is an Ondo asset available for general access. Additionally, OUSG from Ondo is supported for qualified-access users. Furthermore, BUIDL, representing BlackRock's offerings via Backed Finance, can also be utilized as eligible collateral. This diverse collateral base underpins the stability of USST.

USST is designed with a broad spectrum of practical applications and use cases within the decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape. It can be effectively utilized for everyday payments and is suitable for various trading activities across different platforms. Users can also integrate USST into advanced DeFi strategies, leveraging its stability. Furthermore, it facilitates cross-chain bridging, enabling seamless value transfer between different blockchain networks, and serves as a robust asset for treasury management.

The $STBL token serves as the crucial governance and value-accrual mechanism within the AlgoStable ecosystem. Holding $STBL empowers its users to actively participate in vital protocol decisions. This includes approving new collateral types, managing and adjusting protocol fees, and voting on future upgrades to the system. This governance structure ensures that the evolution and direction of the AlgoStable protocol remain community-driven, reflecting the collective will of its token holders and fostering a decentralized future.

The AlgoStable protocol prioritizes security, transparency, and user autonomy through several core principles.
