Epicentral Labs is a Web3 project that operates as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) and a Limited Liability Company (LLC). The project is built on the Solana blockchain, known for its high-speed and low-cost transactions. The primary mission of Epicentral Labs is to develop the essential infrastructure for decentralized options trading on the Solana blockchain. They aim to provide autonomous, non-custodial solutions for the creation, pricing, and settlement of on-chain options through their Solana Option Standard. Their flagship product is OPX, which is designed to be a decentralized options trading platform on Solana. OPX will allow users to hedge, speculate, and create option positions through a streamlined, non-custodial interface, supporting traditional, American-style options on various tokens. Key features of OPX include an intuitive design, transparent pricing, and modular workflows, along with an "Option Lab" for creating and minting options contracts. Epicentral Labs is community-governed by holders of its native LABS token. These token holders, referred to as Voters, possess on-chain, legally-binding authority over how the DAO is operated. A Core Team is responsible for executing the decisions made by the DAO Voters and managing daily operations. The LABS token functions as a utility token within the ecosystem, facilitating transactions, access to services, and participation in decentralized finance opportunities, in addition to granting voting rights for governance. The project utilizes the Solana Option Standard, which is an open-source Software Development Kit (SDK) that enables the creation, execution, and assignment of option contracts on the Solana Blockchain. Development for OPX, including a Devnet launch, was planned for the fourth quarter of 2025.
