DeFi Kingdoms Jade (JADE) serves as a core component of the DeFi Kingdoms game, an immersive experience that blends decentralized finance (DeFi) with a fantasy role-playing game (RPG) on various blockchains. JADE is one of the key tokens in this ecosystem, alongside JEWEL and CRYSTAL. It specifically acts as the "Power Token" for the Serendale realm, which is hosted on the Klaytn blockchain, facilitating essential in-game functions and transactions within that particular realm.

JADE is a multifaceted utility token essential for various in-game activities. Players use it to purchase Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) like Heroes, Pets, and Land, which are vital game assets. It is also required for summoning new Heroes, hatching Pets, and upgrading Hero levels. Furthermore, JADE can be swapped for other tokens within the game's decentralized exchange, and players can provide liquidity by pooling JADE, contributing to the financial ecosystem and potentially earning rewards. JADE is also emitted through the game's "Gardens" feature, where tokens can be staked.

JADE features a hard cap of 250,000,000 tokens. The entire supply has been emitted through the in-game Gardens feature as of March 4, 2024. The tokenomics also outline allocations for initial liquidity, along with vesting schedules for different categories of JADE, including liquid, vested, and locked tokens. Additionally, it details the emission schedules from the JADE Gardens for various token pairs, providing a structured approach to its distribution within the game's economy.

JADE tokens can be acquired and traded on decentralized exchanges. Players typically engage in these exchanges to swap JADE with other tokens. JADE is designated as a "Power Token" specifically for the Serendale realm, which operates on the Klaytn blockchain. Similarly, CRYSTAL serves as the Power Token for the Crystalvale realm. In contrast, JEWEL functions as the overarching "Ecosystem Token" used across all DeFi Kingdoms realms. JEWEL also plays a critical role as the native gas token on the DFK Chain, and is utilized for liquidity pooling, as well as for staking to gain governance rights and fee distribution across the entire ecosystem.

To add JADE to your Metamask wallet, first ensure you have selected the correct network, which is Kaia for JADE. Then, scroll to the bottom of your cryptocurrency list and click "Import tokens." In the "Smart Contract Address" field, you will need to paste JADE's specific contract address: `0xb3f5867e277798b50ba7a71c0b24fdca03045edf`. After entering this, click "Add Custom Token" to successfully display and manage your JADE tokens within Metamask.
