WINR Protocol is a decentralized infrastructure layer specifically designed for the gaming and gambling sector, often referred to as GambleFi. Rather than acting as a traditional consumer-facing casino, it serves as a B2B backend provider. The protocol offers a comprehensive suite of tools for developers, including decentralized liquidity pools known as Bankroll as a Service, a verifiable random number generator (WINR VRF), and a specialized proof layer. This allows third-party developers to build and host on-chain games with transparency and security, leveraging WINR’s underlying infrastructure.

The WINR token plays a dual role as both a utility and a governance asset. It serves as the native gas token for the WINR Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit Layer 3, ensuring smooth network operations. Additionally, it functions as a fee-sharing asset where holders can stake their tokens to receive a portion of the protocol's real-yield revenue, which is generated from the house edge of games built on the platform. The ecosystem also employs a deflationary buyback and burn mechanism, using a portion of protocol fees to reduce the circulating supply.

WLP (WINR Liquidity Provider) and vWINR (vested WINR) are specialized tokens within the ecosystem. WLP acts as an index token for the liquidity pool that bets against players, essentially serving as the house bankroll; liquidity providers profit when players lose and vice-versa. vWINR is a reward token given to players and stakers. To ensure long-term ecosystem stability, vWINR must undergo a vesting period—typically 180 days—before it can be converted into liquid WINR tokens. This structure aligns the incentives of liquidity providers and long-term protocol participants.

The WINR Chain is built as an Arbitrum Orbit Layer 3 (L3) using the AnyTrust stack. This technical framework is designed to provide a high-performance environment that mimics the speed of traditional Web2 applications. It offers sub-one-second transaction finality and utilizes account abstraction to provide gasless transactions for users. These features eliminate the friction typically associated with blockchain gaming, allowing for a seamless experience while maintaining the decentralization and transparency of an on-chain ledger.

The WINR project has undergone significant evolution since its early stages. Following an initial launch and subsequent delisting of an earlier token version in 2020, the team returned in 2023 with a revamped vision and infrastructure. During this relaunch, a token swap was established to transition the community to the new ecosystem. While the swap ratio from the original supply remains a point of historical discussion, the transition successfully moved the project toward its current status as a Layer 3 infrastructure provider focused on cross-chain expansion and decentralized gaming tools.
