zkLink is an aggregated rollup infrastructure that utilizes zero-knowledge (ZK) technology to unify fragmented liquidity across various Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2 (L2) ecosystems. It specifically addresses the issue of liquidity fragmentation, where assets are currently siloed on different chains. By aggregating these assets, zkLink allows users to trade tokens from different networks—such as ETH from Arbitrum against USDC from Polygon—within a single, unified environment, significantly improving capital efficiency and user experience.

zkLink Nova is a general-purpose Layer 3 (L3) zkEVM network. It enables users to bridge assets from various Ethereum Layer 2s, such as Arbitrum, zkSync, and Linea, into one place for trading and dApp interaction. In contrast, zkLink X is an application-specific scaling engine. It is designed for developers to build high-performance products, such as order book decentralized exchanges (DEXs) or NFT marketplaces, offering customized features and specialized circuits tailored to specific high-speed use cases.

The ZKL token serves several core functions: 1) Governance, allowing holders to vote on protocol upgrades through the DAO. 2) Proof Payments, where provers who generate ZK-proofs are compensated in ZKL. 3) Gas Discounts, enabling users on the Nova network to pay transaction fees in ZKL at a reduced rate. 4) Infrastructure Access, where developers pay ZKL to license zkLink X solutions. Additionally, the token is used for governance staking to receive veZKL and for technical prover staking.

The Aggregation Parade is zkLink’s flagship reward campaign. Participants earn "Nova Points" by bridging and staking assets like ETH, USDC, and Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) on the Nova network. These points are designed to be convertible into ZKL tokens. To prevent Sybil attacks and ensure a fair distribution, these campaigns often require a minimum deposit. While primary seasons may conclude, zkLink frequently introduces new reward periods and partner campaigns to incentivize ongoing liquidity provision.

zkLink inherits its security directly from the Ethereum mainnet. It employs a "multi-chain state synchronization" mechanism via zkLink Nexus, ensuring transactions across different chains are verified by ZK-proofs. A standout safety feature is the "Dunkirk Test." This protocol proved that even if zkLink servers were to go completely offline, users could still recover their assets directly from smart contracts using an open-source recovery program, ensuring that user funds remain safe and accessible under all circumstances.

ZKL is listed on major global exchanges, including LBank. Using the zkLink Nova network offers significant advantages, including gas fees that are substantially lower than Ethereum and many Layer 2s, often costing only a few cents per transaction. Bridging assets to Nova is efficient, typically taking between 10 seconds and 30 minutes depending on the source chain. Furthermore, zkLink Nova is fully EVM-compatible, meaning any Ethereum-based decentralized application can be easily ported to the network.
